Milwaukee Empty Bowls

In October I participated in the Milwaukee Empty Bowls project. In my ceramics class we each produced four bowls to donate for the event. We were also required to volunteer on the day of the event, and what a pleasurable experience that was. Out of the over 2,000 bowls donated by various local artist, ranging from professionals to students, I was lucky enough to actually meet a young boy who chose one of my bowls! It was such a treat and really made the whole experience worth it.

Some of the bowls from the event and a young girl trying to choose the perfect one for her.

My bowl is the wide, shallow one with the dark blue center, green rim and spots, and orange outside.
