Milwaukee Empty Bowls
In October I participated in the Milwaukee Empty Bowls project. In my ceramics class we each produced four bowls to donate for the event. We were also required to volunteer on the day of the event, and what a pleasurable experience that was. Out of the over 2,000 bowls donated by various local artist, ranging from professionals to students, I was lucky enough to actually meet a young boy who chose one of my bowls! It was such a treat and really made the whole experience worth it.

My bowl is the wide, shallow one with the dark blue center, green rim and spots, and orange outside. |
Eugene Atget Trees
Being passionate about the environment I have a great love and appreciation of trees. There are so many different kinds that each have their own interesting and beautifully organic aesthetic. Atget was very gifted at capturing images that portray the natural artistic look of trees.
Repurposed Pillowcases
I love the concept of repurposing materials and other items to make beautiful and useful new products.
